This wonderful American folk art painting on a wood panel was done in 1985.  It is signed on the back ---  Clem’s Barn  ’85   GN NY.  The bear is painted on a large shaped pine panel.  He is wearing a sailor shirt, and he is holding a big red heart.  The heart looks quilted, with a blue dot in each corner of the diamond shaped sections.  The artist has depicted the bear’s fur with a “squiggly” / combed technique (with two shades of brown). 

Lean the bear against a wall, as we have, or you can put a hook or a wire on the back to hang it as wall décor.

This is a great work of original folk art for a teddy bear collector.  This Great Neck ( Long Island ), New York bear will be a focal point of your teddy bear decor and collection.

The pine wood panel is 11“ wide at the base.  It is 26“ tall at the ears.  The panel is 1/2“ thick.

It is in good / pre-owned / vintage condition.  There are some rubs / abrasions / scratches from age / handling.
