The shepherd’s colorful outfit includes blue, green, bright red and brown.  He is standing on a green round base.   This papier mache (paper mache) figurine is in good used vintage condition.   There are a number of spots where the surface of the statue has been worn or chipped.   Some of these spots include the rim of the round base, the front edge of the red drape on his left arm, the edge of the blue sleeve by his right wrist.  It is being sold AS IS; you can touch up the worn & chipped spots if you like.  

Incorporate this beautiful vintage shepherd (perhaps by FONTANINI) in a large Nativity scene --- or display it by itself.   This would be great as the focal point of a holiday display on a fireplace mantel, on a sideboard, on a dining table, etc.

This large Italian shepherd is from our personal collection.  (We also had another one almost identical to this, with different "wear" from age and handling, and the other one had MADE IN ITALY printed on the bottom.)
