This vintage Florida souvenir has the best and most vivid coloring that we have ever seen on one! It is in very good shape; there are only a few small abrasions to the surface of the ceramic (including 2 small spots on the alligator’s right shoulder). This alligator is posed on rocks on the edge of the water. There are two “recesses” for cigarettes – along the front edge (1 at the left and 1 at the right). There is gold paint decorating these two small areas. This interesting Florida travel memorabilia was made in Japan, although this one no longer has its original paper label on the bottom.

This ceramic art / sculpture is approximately 7” x 5 ¼” x 4 ½” (tall).

FLORIDA is raised in relief in the water --- in the center along the edge of the rocks.

This is a very fun collectible ---- especially for alligator and crocodile collectors. If you collect Florida travel souvenirs, this is an especially nice one. It is not fine china or porcelain, but it is much nicer quality than the vintage alligator dishes that are often on the market! When this one was made, its “painter” / artist was more skilled than the ones that were usually on the production line!
