This small vintage hexagonal wood table was painted an interested pink by a previous owner. Where we can see the grain (patterning) of the wood on the underside, it appears to be made of oak. Since it is already painted, you can use it AS IS if you like this interesting pink color ---- or you can repaint it ---- or you can strip and refinish it in order to feature the wood itself!
This six side occasional table has nice detailing (notice the shape of the legs and the beading around the sides) that make it a perfect vintage accent for the hot Moorish / Moroccan decorating style. You might even want to take it outside to use it on a porch, patio or by the pool (but be sure to take it back inside --- since this vintage solid wood piece is not intended to "live" outside).
Our best guess for the country of origin would be England or the U.S. This is a great older vintage table. Its quality / weight / substance, etc. are not available in more recent interpretations of this look. If you prefer the authenticity, quality and "character" of interesting older pieces, this accent table will be a highlight of your unique decor.
This charming solid wood vintage table is structurally very solid. As already mentioned, it was painted (a rose / pink color) at some point in the past. There are scratches, marks, rubs, abrasions, etc. on the painted surface from wear/handling/use/storage.
